Membership Criteria & No Endorsement

 

1. Membership Criteria

Applicants may be evaluated on factors such as:

Years in business
Customer review history
Service and support capabilities
Availability of replacement parts
Professional installation resources
Business reputation
Consumer complaint history (if applicable)
Industry experience
Local presence and commitment to the community
Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

 

Membership criteria may be modified, updated, or interpreted by the Association at its sole discretion.

2. Membership Is Not a Guarantee

Membership in the Northwest Hot Tub Association does not constitute a warranty, guarantee, certification, endorsement, or assurance of any retailer's products, services, business practices, future performance, or customer satisfaction. Consumers are encouraged to conduct their own research and due diligence before making any purchase decision.

3. Information May Change

Retailer information, product offerings, pricing, financing options, warranties, service capabilities, and business operations may change without notice. Consumers should verify all information directly with the retailer.

4. No Responsibility for Transactions

The Northwest Hot Tub Association is not a party to any transaction between consumers and retailers and assumes no responsibility for purchases, contracts, warranties, financing agreements, installations, repairs, or service work performed by participating businesses.

5. Membership Can Be Suspended or Revoked

Membership may be suspended, denied, or revoked at any time if the Association determines, in its sole discretion, that a member no longer meets Association standards or acts in a manner inconsistent with the Association's mission.

6. Consumer Due Diligence Notice

Consumers should independently evaluate retailers, products, warranties, pricing, financing terms, and service commitments before entering into any purchase agreement.

7. Review and Rating Disclaimer

Online reviews and ratings are only one factor considered during membership evaluation. Review platforms may contain inaccuracies, incomplete information, or opinions that do not reflect every customer's experience.

8. No Claims Regarding Products

The Association does not manufacture, distribute, test, certify, or warrant any hot tub, swim spa, or related product. Product specifications, performance claims, warranties, and safety information should be verified directly with manufacturers and retailers.

9. Dispute Resolution Disclaimer

The Northwest Hot Tub Association does not mediate, arbitrate, or guarantee resolution of disputes between consumers and retailers unless expressly stated otherwise.

10. "Traveling Spa Expo" Consumer Education Disclaimer

Consumers should carefully evaluate any retailer, temporary sales event, or promotional exhibition by reviewing business history, service capabilities, warranty support, customer reviews, and long-term local presence before making a purchase.

 

The Association's membership decisions are based on information available at the time of review. The Association does not continuously monitor all member business activities and cannot guarantee that a member's future actions, policies, services, or business practices will remain consistent with the standards in effect at the time membership was granted.
